Do you have an idea worth spreading?
Always wanted to give a TED talk?
The speaker line up for TEDxStowe is curated by the organizers to bring together a diverse cross section of people who represent today’s thought leaders, movement starters and business innovators in Vermont.
Following feedback from last year’s event, we have decided to make one spot available to a local speaker chosen at our Pop-Up TEDx event on January 16th, at Stowe High School.
It could be you!
Pop-Up TEDxStowe is a mini TEDx event where anyone can present a 3 minute TED talk. The exciting bit… the best talk on the evening (as determined by the audience) will win a spot on the stage at TEDxStowe 2019.
This event is free and open to the public. It will follow “The Moth” story-slam style, where anyone can apply to talk and 10-15 names will be drawn from a hat to present their 3-minute TED talk. The winner will be chosen by the audience.
The winner will join our speaker line-up at TEDxStowe on May 9th 2019, at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center and participate in all the same coaching.
What you need to know
When/Where: Stowe High School, Wednesday January 16th. 6.30pm
Talk length: 3 minutes
Theme: A Long Trail. This is a very Vermont concept and talks may encapsulate any possible interpretation of it.
Content: Any subject. TED talks are not stories, they are about ideas. YOUR ideas. Your unique insight, original solution to a problem, or vision for the future. They should be forward looking and whilst they don’t have to be ideas that will change the world, they could change one person’s world or one community.
All speakers must live in Stowe, Waterbury or Morrisville.
